Zoom Recording Instructions

Here are the basic steps for recording an explanation video using Zoom:

1. Install the Zoom app on your system (get it here).
2. Go to https://memphis.zoom.edu, and sign in.
3. Start a meeting in which you are the only attendee (see the “Host a Meeting” link).
4. Make sure your webcam video is turned on, and you can see yourself.
5. Share your screen in the meeting.
6. Start recording. It’s probably best to choose the option in which you save it to your system, but the cloud option may also work.
7. Perform your task.
8. Stop recording.
9. Stop sharing your screen.
10. End meeting for all.

After ending the meeting, Zoom should begin exporting the video. This can take a bit of time as Zoom encodes the video and saves it to your hard drive.
